AB The paper analyzes an ancient route inside to Colombia. This is the route that connects the towns of Mariquita, Honda and Ambalema. These cities have played an important trade and cultural role.  The issues analyzed are the result of research that have been developed at the University of Ibagué (Department of Tolima, Colombia).
