Then, it is dedicated to the specific case of the walled city of Fez. Indeed, Fez was declared a world heritage site in 1981 which constituted the first step in the establishment of a conservation policy for that site. Through the last three decades, strategies were set up in order to maintain and develop a cultural interest for that place, to protect and rehabilitate it. This text takes into account the legal framework and the financial aspects associated to the site management.
