La méthodologie d'inventaire et de sélection spécialement conçue permet de donner une évaluation de ces anciens paysages de moulins à eau sur les caractéristiques du paysage, les valeurs patrimoniales et les tâches actuelles des offices des eaux. Et d'examiner si la restauration / réutilisation du patrimoine aquatique à des emplacements acceptables pour l'Office des eaux peut contribuer à l'attribution des tâches dans le cadre du programme Delta.
