After 13 years, the Updating of the Principles started in the 18th Sympsoium and General Conference held in the Museo Regional of Guadalajara, México in 2012, there many experts from Japan, Italy, Argentina, France and México recongnized that a new element of the patrimony had to be consider as an important matter in the conservation and regulation: the interdependency of natural, social and technical aspects: all together in an holistic dinamic. Also new decay agents threats the conservation of the monumental timber structures. The revision process of the Principles of Conservation of Historic Timber Structures, according to the proposed schedule by the international Secretariat of ICOMOS ended when the Principles for the conservation of Wooden built Heritage were adopted by the 19th ICOMOS General Assembly, New Delhi, India, on the 15th December 2017.
