abstractIn South-East Asia, several countries have been deprived of a significant part of their cultural heritage during colonial and conflict periods. But even in times of peace, monuments and archaeological sites remain vulnerable. Indeed, the high value of cultural objects on the antiquities' market has led to the rise of a transboundary illegal traffic in the region. This publication provides suggestions on how capacity-building activities can be carried out at sub-regional and national level to protect this heritage at risk. It contains training modules aiming at helping national authorities to develop workshops which are rich in contents and effective in methodology.
