"The book is the result of the revision of my writings, the reorganization of my observations made on site and the review of the literature known to me on the subject of Ilha de Moçambique and its fortress. \r\nMy attention to this heritage follows the perspectives of knowledge, conservation and utility.\r\nIlha de Moçambique, with its geographical context, is a site registered since 1991 in the World Heritage List of UNESCO. \r\nMy cultural interest on the architectural and natural heritage of Mozambique began in 1993, but structured in 2004 following a study carried out on the church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição in the city of Inhambane.\r\nMy revised writings are: Ibo Island in the Quirimbas Archipelago.
