Abstract (in English)

This presentation is about the preservation of historic monuments and the built heritage. Lots of talking are made about prevention, but unfortunately fires also exist, and when this disaster happens, this is particularly impressive, like the Castle Lunéville fire in 2003. When the intervention is not quick enough, you can only deplore the damage. This topic will be discussed through two specific points: First, the buildings themselves, and secondly the historic areas.
