Résumé (en anglais)

The Nord-Pas de Calais Mining Basin is inscribed on the World Heritage List since June 30, 2012. In terms of management and development, the "living" character of the territory requires finding constant balance between preservation and revitalization of heritage and territory. Reinvest and preserve industrial heritage sites requires modifications to the standards of modern life, or the requirements of new features and / or activities. The challenge is to find that balance where the heritage retains its identity and integrity, but also found an active role.

Le Bassin minier du Nord-Pas-de-Calais est inscrit sur la Liste du Patrimoine mondial depuis le 30 juin 2012. En termes de gestion et de valorisation, le caractère «vivant» du territoire oblige à trouver de constants équilibres entre préservation et revitalisation du patrimoine et du territoire. Réinvestir et préserver des lieux de patrimoine industriel nécessite des adaptations, soit aux normes de la vie moderne, soit aux exigences de nouvelles fonctions et/ou activités. L’enjeu est donc de trouver cet équilibre dans lequel le patrimoine conserve son identité et son intégrité mais retrouve également un rôle actif.
