Abstract (in English)

The present report refers to the UNWTO/UNESCO World Conference on Tourism and Culture - Building a New partnership which took place in Siem Reap, Cambodia on 4-5 February 2015. This declaration highlights the importance of relationships between Tourism and Heritage Sectors at the institutional international level. It reaffirms the commitment of the participants to build new partnerships models between tourism and culture while promoting and protecting cultural heritage. It aims at linking people and foster sustainable development through cultural routes, establishing closer linkages between tourism, living cultures and creative industries and supporting the contribution of cultural tourism to urban development.
