Abstract (in English)

This paper discusses the statuory institutions for heritage protection in Israel and the legal framework proposed by them. It highlights how the lack of a clear definition is causing issues and risking the protection of cultural heritage in Israel and debates the role of centralization and decentralization of heritage management systems in important decision makings regarding the protection of heritage in Israel.
