This document consists in a compilation of the presentations given during the ICLAFI 2000 symposium. Various national legislations and governance modalities are detailed, allowing a comparative analysis on the way the proteciton of cultural heritage is financed, on the one hand, and of the economic impact resulting from such a protection on the other hand.
