Abstract (in English)

This second ICOMOS document on Sites associated with memories of recent conflicts, prepared in response to this decision, is the result of an extensive consultation process. It attempts to address the issues raised in that first paper and to determine how the World Heritage Convention could integrate sites associated with memories of recent conflicts, or whether there are doctrinal problems that might prevent this integration.
