This guide aimed at authorities and experts illustrates how gardens worthy of protection in Switzerland can be identified on the basis of the list of historic gardens and sites, and how they can be legally protected at a reasonable cost. This guide is aimed not only at the public authorities, but also at private offices in the fields of spatial planning, landscape planning and monument preservation, which often accompany the municipalities and cantons in such matters.
