Résumé (en anglais)

A recent concern on the time scale of architectural and urban heritage of historic city centres, energy efficiency of existing buildings takes on a major and universal dimension in response to climate change. thermal renovation works will have consequences and may jeopardise the authenticity, the material and immaterial values of this heritage as witness to our history… How to conciliate conservation of the heritage and reduction of energy consumption as part of a sustainable development framework? This publication presents the proceedings of the symposium organized in Paris in October 2010 on this topic by ICOMOS France and Euromed Heritage.

Préoccupation récente à l’échelle de temps des patrimoines architectural et urbain des centres historiques des villes, la performance énergétique des bâtiments existants prend une dimension majeure et universelle en réponse au changement climatique. Les effets des rénovations thermiques seront sensibles et risquent de faire perdre à ces patrimoines leur authenticité, leurs qualités matérielles et immatérielles de témoignage de notre histoire. Comment concilier préservation de ces patrimoines et réduction des consommations d’énergie dans une volonté de développement durable ? Cet ouvrage présente les actes du colloque organisé en octobre 2010 sur ce thème par ICOMOS France et Euromed Heritage.
