The creation of the "RIVAUD" district is part of a local urbanisation policy to renew the historic city of Poitiers. The renewal, begun several years ago, combines the restoration of the architectural heritage with housing renovation and the creation of accompanying public services. The aim is as much to bring to life the historic centre as to preserve it.
