Abstract (in English)

Façades of the most important public offices in Hungary, especially those built in the last 150 years, have been built of rather low-grade porous limestone. This so-called Soskut limestone quarried in the Buda mountains when expposed to climatic effects, mainly frost, and increasing atmospheric pollution undergoes accelerated destruction.
