Abstract (in English)

The study made focuses its interest on the stilt house settlement which are found on the shores of the Lake of Maracaibo and on the merging with its tributaries. It desis with an architecture which has arisen from these waters, and whose uniqueness is not only in the location or in the coherence of its design-climate, but rather also in the fact that it had become model which has lasted from times prior to the Spanish conquest to modern times
