The programme was designed to permit analysis, by practical experiment, of the increases in mechanical strength to be observed in coursed masonry or brickwork following treatment with synthetic resins. The technique in questiion is based on vacuum impregnation of the materials and makes use of criteria already in use in the field of conservation.
