Résumé (en anglais)

Some of the most ancient cultural resources in the United States are located in the Four Corners region of the southwest. Ruins of sandstone masonry buildings constructed by the Anasazi civilization have been exposed for a thousand years to a relatively pristine environment. In very recent times, however, population growth and rapid industrial development have led to increased pollutant emissions in the area.
