Abstract (in English)

Proceedings of the symposium held in Dijon, France, on June 10-11th 1988. The painted wall is probably man's oldest means of expression. The present symposium proceedings examine the evolution of this art, its legal and administrative framework, but also its significance and creativity in the second part of the 20th century in European urban spaces.
