Abstract (in English)
The Conserving Concrete Heritage Experts Meeting convened a small invited group of professionals to identify the knowledge gaps and identify key areas where the field can be advanced through a combination of research, education and training, and the creation and promulgation of literature on the subject. Aims and Objectives The aim of the meeting was to bring together some of the key players engaged in the conservation of concrete in modern heritage to examine the actions undertaken over the last two decades as a means of assessing the current state of concrete conservation in order to: identify potential research and other current needs; determine how to advance this area of material conservation; identify the priorities; identify entities able to progress these priorities; identify the scope of research on the conservation of concrete that the GCI could undertake and identify potential partners and stakeholders to work with in this area; and develop an action plan to implement the research and other activities.
