Abstract (in English)
The lecture describes the legal framework and the executive structures of protection and preservation of historical buildings, monuments and sites in the Federal Republic of Germany as well as the different kinds of direct and indirect financial support given to its owners. Starting on the legal aspects federal building law is covered. It lays down the criteria for urban and rural planning.
