Abstract (in English)
There are a number of circumstances in which the restoration of buildings links up with the restoration of movable property: it does so through the laboratories in view of the part played by the latter in research and in the scientific analysis of building materials, with the aid of which such materials may be identified and their future behaviour forecast, as a preliminary to choosing the appropriate materials for restoration. This is particularly so when the building is to have a content, as happens in two basic types of cases: where the building is to serve as a museum and where a work of architecture already contains original works. Museography has a necessary part to play as an intermediary between the building and its contents and the adaptation of its interior to serve as a museum must, as we have already pointed out, involve multidisciplinary cooperation.
