Abstract (in English)

This report deals with the international meeting "Forum international Patrimoines et Risques en Europe et en Méditerranée" organized in Marseille in december 2013. Nowadays, every country has to face environmental risks. Thanks to several reports based on real examples of natural disasters and above all thanks to debates related to the issue of conservation of our cultural heritage in front of natural risks, that meeting led to several conclusions. First, it is necessary to set up a methodologic strategy based on sustainable development's conception at a local and global level. It is important to take long-lasting measures at an international and national scale but before and not after disasters. Besides, it is important to sensibilize and train the adequate population. The goal is to establish safeguarding plans in order to be able to react in front of risky situations and succeed in protecting our cultural heritage.
