Abstract (in English)
The recovery of the river port of Padua was carried out while the dredging works of the Piovego canal were in progress. The Portello is made up of various architectural elements: the Ognissanti gate (1518), the sixteenth-century curtain wall with a twentieth-century addition, the bridge over the Piovego (1518 and 1784), the stairway with the quay east of the bridge (1519 and 1784), a second stairway with platform, west of the bridge (1519) and the eighteenth-century votive chapel of the Barcari.
