Abstract (in English)

Never has cultural and natural heritage held such significance and been documented as massively as now, but the ease of digital photography and the lack of rigor resulting from its massive use means that photographic effort must be redirected towards a more than concrete objective: that applied photography and documentation may surpass the documented heritage entity, and even parametrically replace it in order to make it reproducible. Photography applied at all scales and scientific documentation are active means of interpretation, representation and objectification, enabling documentation to be more than a reflection of the heritage entity from a parameterized perspective, since the historical interpretation conveyed by photographs of a place or an object is intertwined with their perception, up to deforming it in the collective consciousness and turning it into heritage, in the same way that vision, beyond the direct vision of scientific imaging techniques, expands the very notion of heritage and allows its study from a greater range of disciplines. Contemporary photography of heritage, and its web dissemination, impacts territory and heritage (at all levels) as it triggers a public response to an element and makes it heritage. This reverses the polarity of heritage recreation: from this object heritage is updated and expanded, which ultimately changes the catalogue from we become aware of heritage to return to it or update it. This relationship can reconstruct a heritage entity so perfectly as to operate as a qualitative substitute. The valuation, conservation and dissemination of the historical and artistic as well as natural and-geological heritage is one of the objectives of any society that aims to show its citizens and visitors the image it intends to offer of itself, but this required it to be documented. And documentation is also valuable as a guarantee remains against destruction for allowing multiple location. A documented heritage is a protected and multi-present heritage, indestructible by design. That documentation can become not only a representation, but an immanent presence of heritage, and therefore heritage itself, and not just documentation thereof. The reality, parameterization and dissemination of the principle of qualified heritage substitution from the microscopic scale to the territorial image will be the primary objective of the entire symposium.

Nunca el patrimonio cultural y natural tuvo la significancia actual, y nunca fue documentado tan masivamente como ahora, pero la facilidad de la fotografía digital y la falta de rigor -consecuencia de la fotografía digital masiva- hace que tengamos que reconducir el esfuerzo fotográfico con un objetivo más que concreto: que la fotografía aplicada y la documentación supere, e incluso llegue a sustituir paramétricamente para hacerlo reproducible, al ente patrimonial documentado. La fotografía aplicada en todas sus escalas y el documentalismo científico es un medio activo de interpretación, representación y objetualización, que posibilita que desde una perspectiva parametrizada el documentalismo sea más que un reflejo del ente patrimonial, pues la interpretación histórica que las fotografías dejan de un lugar o un objeto, se entrelaza con la percepción del mismo para deformarlo en la conciencia colectiva y convertirlo en patrimonio, del mismo modo que la visión, más allá de la visión ocular de las técnicas de imagen científica, amplía la noción misma de patrimonio y permiten el estudio desde un rango mayor de disciplinas. La fotografía contemporánea del patrimonio, y su difusión en la web, llega a intervenir en el territorio y en el patrimonio (a todo nivel), pues provoca una respuesta pública que se realiza sobre un elemento, haciendo patrimonio de él, y desde aquí se invierte la polaridad de la recreación patrimonial para desde este objeto actualizar y ampliar el patrimonio, que pasa a modificar el catálogo patrimonial desde el que tomamos conciencia para volver a actualizar el mismo. Esta relación puede reconstruir tan perfectamente un ente patrimonial, que puede llegar a operar por sustitución cualificada del mismo. La valoración, conservación y difusión del patrimonio histórico-artístico y natural-geológico es uno de los objetivos de cualquier sociedad que pretenda mostrar a sus ciudadanos y visitantes la imagen que pretende ofrecer de sí misma, pero para ello ha de estar documentado. Y la documentación tiene otro valor: permanece contra la destrucción por ser multi-localizable. Un patrimonio documentado es un patrimonio protegido y multi-presente, indestructible teleológicamente, y esa documentación puede llegar a ser no sólo representación del patrimonio, sino una presencia inmanente del mismo, por lo que es patrimonio, no sólo documentación del mismo. La realidad, parametrización y difusión del principio de sustitución cualificada patrimonial desde la escala microscópica hasta la imagen territorial será el objetivo primordial de todo el simposio.
