Abstract (in English)
The article focuses on the case study of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France (inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1998) offering the peculiarity of belonging to the category of cultural routes. The author returns to the fact that this category of cultural property was initiated by our Spanish colleagues, who, following the classification of the French route of St. Jacques de Compostela in 1993, led a leading international theoretical reflection a charter and recognition of sites of great magnitude.
L’article porte sur l’étude de cas des Chemins de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle en France (inscrits sur la liste du patrimoine mondial en 1998) offrent la particularité d’appartenir à la catégorie des itinéraires culturels. L’auteur revient sur le fait que cette catégorie de bien culturel a été initiée par nos collègues espagnols, qui, à la suite du classement du Camino Francès de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle en 1993, ont animé une réflexion théorique internationale ayant abouti à une charte et à la reconnaissance de sites d’une grande ampleur.
