Abstract (in English)

This second number in 1995 of the [ICOMOS] Scientific Journal has eighteen articles from nearly that half number of countries. Subjects such as "Authenticity and Identity" or "Memory and Oblivion" and the principles overing a "Sustainable City" or the "Charte de Venise" are presented in depth together with the methodologies of recording and proper conservation in essays such as "Aerial and Close-Range Recording" or the "Conservation of 'Little Netherlands' in Semarang".[Extract from the foreword by Roland Silva.]
